PLEASE READ, Myself and my husband would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the
gifts,photo's,candles and tributes left for our precious angel on his 1st angel birthday. Today has
been so hard but its so comforting to know that so many people on GTS care so much. Thank you so

My son Darrach was born on the 8th march 2008 and
weighed 5lb 1oz. He had congential heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallots which is common in
children with Downs Syndrome. He had two shunts fitted which allowed the blood flow to his lungs. In
May Darrach was admitted to hospital with pneumonia where he spent one month in PICU a very scary
time. Then in October Darrach had his full repair to his heart which went well. The next day Darrach
has a cardiac arrest. He fought very hard for a week to stay with us but he had other complicatons
like kidney failure. Then he got pneumonia again only this time he couldn't fight it his little body
was too tired. On the 4th Nov 2008 the angels came to take him and he fell asleep in my arms.
Darrach was such a special wee man he had such a big personality and a smile that could light up a
room. He touched so many hearts and anyone who met him fell in love with him. His big sister who is
2 1/2 insists Darrach is coming home if only this were true we would give anything to have him back.
If only the angels could have waited a little bit longer. We love you wee man please give us the
strengh we need to live our lives without you. xoxoxox
Hello my special wee man, sorry mummy is only getting on now. Just because i didn't get to leave you a message last night doesn't mean i have forgotten you son. I think about you constantly infact your all i ever think about. I propably have the ear talked of you wee man, I like talking to you. Katie is watching something special, she loves it so much. She is gonna end up with square eyes cause she stands so close to the TV. We miss you so much Darrach son, your birthday is coming up soon, I dont know how i'm going to cope wee man. We were gonna have a hugh party for you son, me and your daddy had talked about your birthday before you had your surgery. It was going to be a hugh celabration. We will still celabrate it wee man, just not in the way we would have if you were still with us. We will always celabrate it, your still our special wee man and just because your not with doesn,t mean we can't celabrate. I'm sure there will be a huge party for you in Gods garden. Darrach son can you ask your great grandparents to listen to me, I don't think they can hear me. I hope your having lots of fun wee man and make sure you get plenty of chocalate, but don't eat it all at once, I don't want you to get sick. Make sure you give all the angel babies lots of kisses for there mummy's. Mummy is sending you lots of special kisses, so catch them quick and hold them close to your heart wee man. Hello wee man. We are thinking of you always. You know, you are a lucky wee man as you have the bravest and loveliest mummy and daddy that i've ever known. They miss you so very much. Please make sure you look over them and caolan and katie and keep them safe. If you could send mummy a little sign that you are happy up there playing with the other angel babies it would make her so happy. You have touched everyone's life, and we will never forget you. Hello wee man have you been up bright and early this morning. Mummy finds it very hard sometimes to get out of bed but i know i have to, anyway miss Katie wouldn't let me stay in bed, I suppose thats a good thing that she crys in my ear to get me up. I just miss you so much Darrach son it just gets harder and harder the longer i dont see you. I think thats why i want to dream of you so much, it will just feel like i have been with you and looked after you. I love you Darrach x

Well my wee man i hope your all tucked up snug and warm, its very late and all the babies are sleeping. Its been a strange day wee man, didn't really know what to do with myself. I just spent most of the day round at your granny's with all your aunts and cousins. Caiden is getting so big, you's two were gonna be so close. Sometimes its hard when i look at him and see him laughing and smiling, I just wish you were here to wee man. When mummy is sleeping tonight Darrach can you please come and lie beside me and give me lots of kisses and cuddles, let me feel you. Sometimes i close my eyes and try to listen very carefully to see if i can here you. Morning my wee angel, sorry i'm a little bit late this morning but everytime i sit down to write something Katie comes along asking me to help her with something. Still no dreams wee man i woke this morning and just thought why cant i dream of you. I sometimes wonder if i'm not ready to dream of you, that maybe if i had a dream i wouldn't want to let you go and i would get very upset when i woke and you weren't with me. I get very upset everyday wee man, I just want you home with mummy,daddy,Caolan and Katie. I think to myself what is my Darrach doing up there, but i'm sure whatever your doing up in Gods garden your having los of fun. Hello my special wee man, have you had a nice day today playing with Bailey,Aimee Rose,Martin and Reily. Me your daddy and Katie went up to your grave today it was covered in a blanket of snow it was lovely, So we made you a snowman, Katie had so much fun bless her, She doesn't really know what were doing there. She talks about you everyday wee man and when she is having her bath she always tells me to put your duck in. Hello my wee man. All the boys and girls must be very busy up there today agian sending lots of lovely snow. Went up to your gave yesterday and the snow was just starting to melt, So i'm sure with all the snow this morning it will be covered like a blanket. I'm sorry were not together wee man but someone said to me before that up in God's garden there is no concept of time and that it will only be a blink of an eye for you and we will all be together again, If only it was like that for us wee man. We miss you like mad son, but i know one day I will hold you in my arms again, and when that time comes Darrach son i promise you, i will never let you go. Morning my very special wee man. Darrach son i miss you so much it constantly hurts i wish i had a time machine, cause i would go back to when you were born and do my best to protect you so that everything that happened to you i could warn the doctors so they could do something before it even happened, and then maybe i would still have you in my arms. Every room i go into there is your beauiful little face smiling back at me, I sometimes hold my arms out to you and ask you to come to me, I know its wishfull thinking son but i just want to hold you. We love you so much Darrach son and that will never change, infact we will just love you more and more everyday just he we would do if you were still here with us. Caolan has sore knees son i had to take him to doctors and they have gave him medicine and told me to bring him back in two weeks and they will do blood tests. Can you watch over him son, hopefully its nothing to worry about, give them a little kiss and make them feel better. Remember to give Bailey,Aimee Rose, Martin,Reily and all the other angel babies kisses from thier mummy's.
