PLEASE READ, Myself and my husband would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the
gifts,photo's,candles and tributes left for our precious angel on his 1st angel birthday. Today has
been so hard but its so comforting to know that so many people on GTS care so much. Thank you so
much from the bottoms of our hearts. God bless you all. xxx
My son Darrach was born on the 8th march 2008 and
weighed 5lb 1oz. He had congential heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallots which is common in
children with Downs Syndrome. He had two shunts fitted which allowed the blood flow to his lungs. In
May Darrach was admitted to hospital with pneumonia where he spent one month in PICU a very scary
time. Then in October Darrach had his full repair to his heart which went well. The next day Darrach
has a cardiac arrest. He fought very hard for a week to stay with us but he had other complicatons
like kidney failure. Then he got pneumonia again only this time he couldn't fight it his little body
was too tired. On the 4th Nov 2008 the angels came to take him and he fell asleep in my arms.
Darrach was such a special wee man he had such a big personality and a smile that could light up a
room. He touched so many hearts and anyone who met him fell in love with him. His big sister who is
2 1/2 insists Darrach is coming home if only this were true we would give anything to have him back.
If only the angels could have waited a little bit longer. We love you wee man please give us the
strengh we need to live our lives without you. xoxoxox

Hey wee man, what a day the rain hasn't stopped and it's so cold, it's blowing a gale. So mummy, Katie & Caolan are all sitting in the house all nice and warm. Only problem is angel is that you are not with us, i can just close my eyes and see you siting here playing with your big brother and sister. We miss you so much Darrach, our lives will never be the same without you my special wee man. I just wish God could show all the mummy's what there little babies are doing and how happy they all are. Then maybe we could settle a little bit, it's so hard son. Some people think just because a bit of time has passed that you are doing better, all i want to do is scream, especially when someone says the first year is the hardest. I just want to say to them, why whats happening is my child coming back, but i can't do that son because deep down i know they are only trying to comfort me. Think ill get my froggy jammies on soon wee man and just cuddle up on the sofa and watch soon junk tv, wouldn't be doing that if your were here angel, you would always keep me very busy lol. I loved looking after you so much son, you were never too much trouble son, i remember your consultant telling me to go home and get some rest and i just said to him, i dont think so, Darrach is my son and i will look after him. I just loved doing it, like all mummy's love to look after there babies, it's what mummy's do, isn't wee man. Well son mummy is rambling so i will go and let you go and play with Joseph, i do hope you's boys are not causing too much havoc up there lol. I love you with all my heart and soul son, always will. Hey Darrach, did you snuggle up nice and tight last night it was so cold. Just popped on to give you lots and lots of extra special kisses and im going to send them up to God's garden so make sure you catch them wee man. Mummy and Daddy will be up to your garden today and bring you nice fresh flowers, saying that wee man your flowers always seem to stay fresh. Mummy could take the old one's home if i wanted to but we always go to Nanny's first for Sunday lunch and we be there most of the day. We are still waiting on your headstone going up son, the photo hasn't came back yet. So mummy will have to ring the people tomorrow to see what's happening with it, saying that son i don't want them to rush it, i want it to be perfect because you were perfect and you deserve the best. Please watch over the people who are making it son and you just whisper in there ear and tell them to do the best job ever on it. Mummy wants to thank you for last night son, you took my breath away, i love you with my heart and soul. It gives me great comfort to know your around me wee man, well Darrach son i suppose i better go and let you play with Joseph,Stacey and all your angel friends. Hey Darrach, its very cold tonight wee man so make sure you get snuggled up really tight with Joseph and Stacey, give them great big hugs and kisses for there mummy's. I wish i was tucking you in son, more than anything in this world. You are so precious to us Darrach and you always will be son, i wish that there was something that mummy and daddy could have done to keep you here with us son. The only thing that we could do was love you Darrach, we loved you so so much and i can't even find the words to describe the love we had for you and still do, it grows everyday for you wee man.
