PLEASE READ, Myself and my husband would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the
gifts,photo's,candles and tributes left for our precious angel on his 1st angel birthday. Today has
been so hard but its so comforting to know that so many people on GTS care so much. Thank you so
much from the bottoms of our hearts. God bless you all. xxx
My son Darrach was born on the 8th march 2008 and
weighed 5lb 1oz. He had congential heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallots which is common in
children with Downs Syndrome. He had two shunts fitted which allowed the blood flow to his lungs. In
May Darrach was admitted to hospital with pneumonia where he spent one month in PICU a very scary
time. Then in October Darrach had his full repair to his heart which went well. The next day Darrach
has a cardiac arrest. He fought very hard for a week to stay with us but he had other complicatons
like kidney failure. Then he got pneumonia again only this time he couldn't fight it his little body
was too tired. On the 4th Nov 2008 the angels came to take him and he fell asleep in my arms.
Darrach was such a special wee man he had such a big personality and a smile that could light up a
room. He touched so many hearts and anyone who met him fell in love with him. His big sister who is
2 1/2 insists Darrach is coming home if only this were true we would give anything to have him back.
If only the angels could have waited a little bit longer. We love you wee man please give us the
strengh we need to live our lives without you. xoxoxox

Morning wee man, its blowing a gale again, if it gets any worse it will lift Katie's playhouse from the garden lol, it's not the first time that's happened wee man. Make sure your wraped up nice and warm son, saying that i reckon it's always nice and warm in God's beautiful garden. Darrach can you whisper in the people's ear who's sorting your wee photo out that they have to get it right this time son, it's just taking so long and they just don't seem to be able to get it right angel and it makes me very sad. Mummy and Daddy will be up at your garden today wee man, so try and keep the rain away son so we can stay longer. We miss you so much Darrach and it's so hard to believe that you are no longer with us and that you arn't coming home, we love you with all our heart and soul wee man we always will. You are our special angel, that God could only lend to us, i only wish he could have gave you to us for longer wee man. We never got to spend christmas with you or see your first birthday and we will never get to see any of them, it's just so hard to watch everyone else with all there family around them and my family is broken. I can't get to sing jingle bells or happy birthday and see your beautiful smile when i do it. Well my special wee man, i suppose i better go now and let you get back to playing with Joseph and all your little angel friends, just know that you are in my heart and forever you will always stay. Morning wee man, its blowing a gale again the weather is just rotten. I don't mind the wind but could do without the rain lol. Your big sister hasn't been too well Darrach, she had a very high tempature all day yesterday and was in bed from 6 o clock, that's not like are at all. She didn't get up till nearly 9 this morning thats nealy 15 hours son but i think she really needed it. Can you give her a great big hug wee man and whisper in her ear that you love her. Your big bro and big sis miss you so much Darrach, Katie still thinks your coming home. I have to bring her to the Children's in a couple of weeks son and i'm dreading it because she probably thinks we are going to take her to Clark clinic to see you, that will be so hard. I love you with all my heart and soul my special angel, and it gets stronger for you everyday, i keep hoping that this is a really really bad nightmare son but i never wake up. I know you are around my Darrach, you just give me so many signs to let me know you are with me, i just wish i could see you. Well Darrach son i suppose i may go and let you have fun with all your angel friends. Love you more everyday my special wee man, forever in my heart.
